I officiate weddings, handfastings, renewal of vows, same-sex unions, namings for all ages and gender identity, blessingways, funerals, memorials, interment of ashes, peaceful divorce, parting of the ways, and other rites of passage, such as menarche and menopause.
As an independent celebrant, I am not restricted by religion, customs, time or place. We can include anything of importance to you, whether that is religious, spiritual, holistic, humorous, symbolic or other. I am able to offer you a vast selection of readings and poems to choose from, or you may provide your own.

The Ceremonies I Write
For as long as I can remember, I have loved words, and anything that carries a sense of the sacred. As a celebrant, I combine two of my great loves to bring you a ceremony to cherish. I have a deep understanding of the power of words as medicine, and the importance of symbols as a way of understanding and expressing human archetypes and myths.
I will write, create and deliver a ceremony unique to you and your celebration. I have a background in journalism and public speaking, and am skilled at listening to people’s stories and writing them clearly.
I trained as a celebrant at Unity Church, Auckland, New Zealand in the early 1990s. I’ve been officiating ceremonies for more than twenty years, and greet each one as a unique celebration. No two are ever the same. The ceremonies I write are based on what is important to you, so they can include religious, spiritual or secular elements.
